In this Ted talk, Clint Smith is explaining why being silent and not speaking up is dangerous. He went from not saying anything when he sees situations that need help, to telling people what they wanted to hear instead of things they needed to. This ted talk is fairly similar to the 12 Angry Men because in the beginning most of the jurors voted guilty after hearing the trial, but juror #8 wasn't afraid to speak his mind and made the other jurors think more about their decisions. When the first voting happened everybody excluding juror #8 immediately though the boy was guilty. Most of them voted the boy was guilty just after watching the trial, but none of them was questioning any of the accusations that were made. But when the voting process happens a couple more times, more jurors started to change their minds. In the end the boy was found not guilty because juror #8 persuaded and gave evidence to why he is not guilty. "We spend so much time listening to the things people are saying that we rarely pay attention to the things they don't,".-Clint Smith
